Die Ausstellung En Passant von Luzia Simons im Mönchehaus Museum Goslar beleuchtet den Garten als kulturellen und poetischen Erinnerungsraum, in dem die Künstlerin mit verschiedenen Medien die fragile Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Natur sowie die historischen und migratorischen Narrative von Pflanzen untersucht.
Zugleich gibt die Ausstellung einen Überblick über 30 Jahre ihres künstlerischen Schaffens und präsentiert neueste Werke, die im Rahmen eines Residenzprogramms am Instituto Bardi in São Pulo/Brasilien entstanden sind – ein Kontext, der die Relevanz von Luzia Simons’ Recherche zur kulturellen Erbschaft von Lina Bo Bardi eindrucksvoll unterstreicht.
The exhibition En Passant by Luzia Simons at the Mönchehaus Museum Goslar explores the garden as a cultural and poetic space of memory. Through various media, the artist examines the fragile relationship between humans and nature, as well as the historical and migratory narratives of plants.
At the same time, the exhibition provides an overview of her 30-year artistic career and presents her most recent works, created during a residency at the Instituto Bardi in São Paulo, Brazil—a context that powerfully underscores the relevance of her research into the cultural legacy of Lina Bo Bardi.
