Leseperformance „Raubbau am Körper“

Moritz Brunken liest im Rahmen der Ausstellung „Die Fichte Spricht Bevor Sie Bricht“ Texte zu den Themen Arbeit, Nachhaltigkeit und Selbstausbeutung im Kunstbetrieb. Eigene ambivalente Haltungen, die Identität als Künstler, die Arbeit in einem Kunstmuseum und der Themenkomplex Degrowth werden dabei  humorvoll hinterfragt und auf die Probe gestellt. Die absurden Prosagedichte und der Monologtext „Raubbau am Körper“ stehen dabei im Dialog mit der gleichnamigen Werkserie, die in der Ausstellung zu sehen ist.

Moritz Brunken will read texts on the themes of work, sustainability, and self-exploitation in the art world as part of the exhibition “The Spruce Speaks Before It Breaks.” His own ambivalent positions—artistic identity, working in an art museum, and the broader discourse on degrowth—are humorously questioned and put to the test. The absurd prose poems and the monologue text “Exploitation of the Body” enter into dialogue with the series of works of the same title on view in the exhibition.
